The Wyoming, DE Peach Festival is held the first Saturday in August from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Ready to have a peachy time in August? Come on out to Railroad Avenue in Kent County’s town of Wyoming to enjoy all kinds of peach-themed goodies. Whether is cobbler, preserves, or pastries, you’re after, you can find them here the first Saturday in August. Other foods will be available as well.
Come on out between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to enjoy food available for purchase, arts & crafts, community displays, a children’s area, a peach dessert contest. A parade takes place from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and features a local marching band and color guard. The Peach Dessert Contest takes place at the train station with the winner being revealed at 2 p.m. Proceeds of the festival go towards the landscaping of Wyoming’s parks and other town improvements.
A free shuttle bus will be available from Wyoming United Methodist Church and W.B. Simpson Elementary School.
Peach Dessert Contest – Think you have a great peach dish? See how it stacks up. Bring your peach dessert and this contest application to the Wyoming Town Hall at 120 W Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934 between 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon the day of the festival. Winning desserts will be announced at the train station platform at 2 p.m. There are a couple of cash prizes! Adults and youth are encouraged to participate. You can pick up your dessert from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Want to be a craft vendor? Fill out this application and submit $50 before July 1st.
Have a yummy peach dish or other food dish to offer? Fill out the food vendor application and submit $130 before July 1st. You will receive three free meal coupons.
If you are part of a community organization that would like a space, fill out this community application and submit $25 or commit to two hours of volunteer time by July 1st.
If you are a politician or part of a political organization that would like a space, fill out this political organization application and submit $50 by July 1st.
Planning on taking part in the 9 a.m. parade? Fill out and submit this application by July 20th. Line-up starts at 7 a.m. at Fifer Middle School. Only floats and vehicles actually in the parade should come to the school’s front parking lot at 109 E. Camden Wyoming Avenue. All parking, drop offs, and unloading should go to the school’s back parking lot on Center Street. Parking attendants will be on-site to direct you. Parade walkers will be able to take a bus back to Fifer Middle School. The bus will be located at Mechanic and West Third Streets behind Halls Family Restaurant.
